Важным фактором преподавания иностранного языка, особенно в техническом вузе, является мотивация студентов. Повышению мотивации и вовлечению студентов в процесс межкультурной коммуникации способствует применение инновационных методов и методик преподавания иностранного языка. В рамках коммуникативно-ориентированного обучения иностранному языку, предполагающего интегративный подход к использованию различных средств и методик, актуальным является использование таких мультимедийных технологий, как Интернет-ресурсы, обучающие программы, использование интерактивной доски, обучающий просмотр видеофильмов. Сегодня Интернет-пространство позволяет преподавателю довольно широко использовать готовые видеоресурсы (1), многие учителя и преподаватели успешно разрабатывают планы занятий, включающие работу с видеофильмами (2). На кафедре иностранных языков Сибирской государственной автомобильно-дорожной академии (СибАДИ, г. Омск) было разработано уникальное в своем роде учебное пособие «Watch and enjoy» (3). Основной целью данного пособия является обучающий просмотр художественных и анимационных фильмов на английском языке. Выбор фильмов обусловлен прежде всего уровнем их популярности, наличием интриги в сюжете, а также психологическими и возрастными особенностями целевой аудитории – студентов технического вуза, хотя пособие может быть использовано в рамках курса иностранного языка в учебном заведениях любого уровня и профиля. Среди предлагаемых авторами к просмотру такие художественные фильмы, как «Форрест Гамп», «Перл Харбор», «Пираты Карибского моря», «И целого мира мало», а также мультфильмы «Гарфилд», «Корпорация монстров», «Вверх» и другие. Структура пособия “Watch and Enjoy” методически продумана и опробована на занятиях по иностранному языку: пособие состоит из вводной части, в которой предлагается основная лексика по темам «Кинематограф» и «Процесс создания фильма», тексты и упражнения на закрепление вводимой лексики, а также единообразно выстроенных частей – наборов упражнений к тому или иному художественному или анимационному фильму. Каждая часть включает предпросмотровые задания, упражнения, сопровождающие работу по каждому эпизоду фильма, а также закрепляющие упражнения. Перед просмотром фильма дается основная информация об истории его создания и, при наличии, его литературной основы. Упражнения снабжены иллюстрациями, сложная или специфическая лексика вынесена в словарь в конце пособия. Вниманию читателей предлагается методическая разработка по фильму «Пираты Карибского моря».

But it seems to me that a ship like that makes this one here a bit superfluous, really. What does Jack mean?

Elizabeth: But you’re Captain Jack Sparrow . You vanished from under the eyes of seven agents of the East India Company. You sacked Nassau Port without even firing a shot. Are you the pirate I’ve read about or not? How did you escape last time? Jack: Last time I was here a grand total of three days, all right? Last time [opens a secret cellar door] ?the rumrunners used this island as a cache. Came by, and I was able to barter a passage off. From the looks of things, they’ve long been out of business. Probably have your bloody friend Norrington to thank for that. [climbs out with two bottles of rum in his hands] Elizabeth: So that’s it then? That’s the secret grand adventure of the infamous Jack Sparrow? You spent three days lying on a beach, drinking rum?! Jack: Welcome to the Caribbean , love. [hands her a bottle] Elizabeth and Jack: [singing and dancing around a fire] We're devils and black sheep and really bad eggs. Drink up me 'earties yo ho! Yo ho, yo ho a pirate's life for me. Jack: I love this song! Really bad eggs! Ooh. [falls] When I get the Pearl back, I’m gonna teach it to the whole crew, and we’ll sing it all the time! Elizabeth: And you’ll be positively the most fearsome pirate in the Spanish Main . Jack: Not just the Spanish Main , love. The entire ocean. The entire world. Wherever we want to go, we’ll go. That’s what a ship is, you know. It’ not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails that's what a ship needs but what a ship is what the Black Pearl really is - is freedom. Elizabeth: Jack, it must be really terrible for you to be trapped on this island. Jac : Oh, yes. [puts his arm around her shoulder] But the company is infinitely better than last time, I think. The scenery has definitely improved. Elizabeth: Mr. Sparrow? I’m not entirely sure that I’ve had enough rum to allow that kind of talk. Jack: I know exactly what you mean, love. [curls his moustache] Elizabeth: [toasts] To freedom. 21. How did Jack and Elizabeth manage to escape from the island? Find if you were right, in the dialogue. Translate it into Russian.
Jack: To the Black Pearl . [drinks and loses consciousness; wakes in the morning to the smell of smoke; sees the island burning and runs to Elizabeth ] No! Not good! Stop! Not good! What are you doing? You burned all the food, the shade! The rum! Elizabeth: Yes, the rum is gone. Jack : Why is the rum gone? Elizabeth: One, because it is a vile drink that turns even the most respectable men into complete scoundrels. Two, that signal is over a thousand feet high. The entire Royal Navy is out looking for me, do you really think that there is even the slightest chance that they won’t see it? Jack: But why is the rum gone? Elizabeth: [she sits to stare at the horizon] Just wait, Captain Sparrow. You give it one hour, maybe two, keep a weather eye out and then you will see white sails on that horizon. Jack: [takes out pistol, thinks better of it and puts it back, stalks off, imitates Elizabeth Must’ve been terrible for you to be trapped here, Jack . Must’ve been terrible for you? Well it bloody is now! [spots the Dauntless] There’ll be no living with her after this.
